Strategic Break! Gujarat Titans have once again laid a strong foundation at the top, courtesy of their in-form openers. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill have looked in complete control right from the outset, finding boundaries with ease and rotating strike efficiently. GT will now look to build on this platform and push for a formidable total. LSG, on the other hand, have been far from their best with the ball. The bowlers haven't quite stuck to the plans or bowled according to the field settings, allowing the GT openers to dominate proceedings. Rishabh Pant’s bowling changes have yet to make any real impact, and the pressure continues to build. Aiden Markram is brought into the attack now.

Coming to this game, well, this venue has historically been a low-scoring one, and this being an afternoon game, it might further slow down the wicket. So, we might not be in for a run fest. One gets a feeling that this game will be more of a contest between GT’s bowling and LSG’s batting, and the winner of this battle should eventually win the game. Lucknow Super Giants have won their last 2 games and have now won 3 out of the 5 games they have played. Similar to GT, the stars in the batting have clearly been their top order with Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran, who have done the bulk of the scoring. Their middle and lower order, except for Ayush Badoni, haven’t really fired, and they would be hoping for the likes of Rishabh Pant and David Miller to get amongst the runs now. In their bowling department, Shardul Thakur and the young fearless spinner Digvesh Singh have been the pick of the bowlers for them. Avesh Khan, too, has bowled well in patches. Their lead spinner, Ravi Bishnoi, hasn’t really turned up as yet, and LSG will be hoping for him to find some rhythm.
